That wasn’t as sarcastic as it might sound, it was a serious question: What about the Palm Pre™ has you so excited? What will it change for you?

For me, the answers are simple:

1. Finally, an alternative to the iPhone! It’s not that the iPhone isn’t swell, but give me a phone that isn’t being sold to me as Already Perfect and, thus, allows me some control over the device itself. Removable battery, anyone?
2. As a real estate professional (that’s right, I’m not a tech dude), I’ve appreciated Palm functionality designed for my business–but boy was it time for a redesign.
3. Unified calendar and messaging. Hot.
4. Let’s be honest, it’s just plain sexy.
